Artefact of the Month
The journeyman cordwainers’ jug shown here is a typical example of a green-glazed guild vessel with sculpted design elements. Made to hold 14 litres of wine, it features a date of 1827
Jewish Objects
It has been the task of this volume to seek out and identify such material: to scour the museum’s holdings for Jewish objects from both Hungary, and abroad.
Artefact of the Month
In November, the month of its birth as an institution, the Museum of Ethnography will be marking the 100th anniversary of the death of the noted Hungarian Africanist, Sámuel Teleki (1845-1916).
