Cooperation between the Kyrgyz National History Museum and the Museum of Ethnography

The First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aigul Japarova and First Officer of the Hungarian National Assembly, H.E. Ms Márta Mártai opened the exhibition of the Kyrgyz National History Museum in the Museum of Ethnography

In the context of the official visit of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary, the Museum of Ethnography was chosen as one of the highlights of the Ladies' Programme. On this occasion, the photo exhibition "The Beauty of Traditions" of the Kyrgyz National History Museum was opened on 13 February. We were honoured by the presence of the First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aigul Japarova and First Officer of the Hungarian National Assembly, H.E. Ms Márta Mártai Mátrai as guests of honour at the opening. During the opening ceremony, the Kyrgyz National History Museum and the Museum of Ethnography signed a memorandum with the following objectives: joint research, exhibition projects and international programmes; joint scientific, professional and operational conferences, seminars and symposia; assistance in the mutually beneficial exchange of experience, training and professional practice of museum professionals; advice on the conservation and restoration of artefacts. The signing of the Memorandum will play a significant role in the successful cooperation between the two institutions and in strengthening the cultural and scientific relations between the Kyrgyz and Hungarian nations. The First Lady of the Kyrgyz Republic donated a special traditional Kyrgyz Shyrdak felt floor carpet to the museum. Rectors of renowned academic institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of the Kyrgyz National History Museum and the Kyrgyz Embassy were also present at the opening ceremony.
